چکیده
Hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1), a heterodimeric transcription factor composed of the α and β subunits, regulates cellular adaptive responses to hypoxia. Macrophages, which are derived from monocytes, function as antigen-presenting cells that activate various immune responses. HIF-1α response, viability, migration, phenotypic plasticity, metabolism macrophages. Specifically, macrophage-derived can prevent excessive pro-inflammatory by attenuating transcriptional activity nuclear factor-kappa B in vivo vitro. modulates macrophage migration inducing release chemokines providing necessary energy. promotes M1 polarization targeting glucose metabolism. Additionally, induces upregulation glycolysis-related enzymes intermediates tricarboxylic acid cycle pentose phosphate pathway. apoptosis, necroptosis reduces autophagy. The current review highlights mechanisms associated with regulation stabilization macrophages well role modulating physiological functions

Hypoxia, Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-1α, and Innate Antileishmanial Immune Responses
Low oxygen environments and accumulation of hypoxia-inducible factors (HIFs) are features of infected and inflamed tissues. Here, we summarize our current knowledge on oxygen levels found in Leishmania-infected tissues and discuss which mechanisms potentially contribute to local tissue oxygenation in leishmanial lesions. Moreover, we review the role of hypoxia and HIF-1 on innate antileishmania...
متن کاملRegulation of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α by NF-κB
HIF (hypoxia-inducible factor) is the main transcription factor activated by low oxygen tensions. HIF-1alpha (and other alpha subunits) is tightly controlled mostly at the protein level, through the concerted action of a class of enzymes called PHDs (prolyl hydroxylases) 1, 2 and 3. Most of the knowledge of HIF derives from studies following hypoxic stress; however, HIF-1alpha stabilization is ...
متن کاملUbiquitin-specific protease 19 (USP19) regulates hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α) during hypoxia.
A proper cellular adaptation to low oxygen levels is essential for processes such as development, growth, metabolism, and angiogenesis. The response to decrease in oxygen supply, referred to as hypoxia, is also involved in numerous human diseases including cancer, inflammatory conditions, and vascular disease. The hypoxia-inducible factor 1-α (HIF-1α), a key player in the hypoxic response, is k...
متن کاملSequence Analysis and Phylogenetic Studies of Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-1α
Hypoxia-inducible factors (HIF) belong to the basic helix loop helix-PER ARNT SIM (bHLH-PAS) family of transcription factors that induce metabolic reprogramming under hypoxic condition. The phylogenetic studies of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) sequences across different organisms/species may leave a clue on the evolutionary relationships and its probable correlation to tumorigenesis and ...
